Bello Admonishes Kogi Monarch On Fairness To All

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has advised the Eje Ankpa, His Royal Highness Ahmed Sadiq, to be fair and just to the people of Ankpa as a way of rewarding them for their love. 

The governor gave the admonition when he received the Eje on Friday at his residence. 

Bello noted that the excitement that greeted Ahmed Sadiq’s announcement as the new Eje Ankpa a few months ago was resounding and a demonstration of love by the people of Ankpa. 

"Your people have shown you love and respect. You must be just, fair and equitable to all. They love you and you should reciprocate that by being the Eje for all," he said. 

The governor stated that he was personally happy that the selection and confirmation of Eje Ankpa and other traditional institutions in Kogi State that was hitherto vacant were seemingly peaceful and rancour-free. 

He then prayed to God to grant the traditional rulers the wisdom and understanding in maintaining law and order in their domains. 

Earlier, Eje Ankpa said the purpose of his visit was to thank the Governor for his wisdom in following the laid down rules that led to his selection and confirmation and other traditional rulers.
