Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has urged the Christians in the state to continue to live in peace like any other citizen of Nigeria noting that love and peaceful coexistence were essential ingredients for the growth and development of any society.

The Governor gave the charge on Monday during a courtesy visit of the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) Lokoja.

The delegation led by the new CAN Chairman, Special Apostle Emmanuel Adebayo Olaniran said the visit was to celebrate the moment with the Governor on the occasion of the 2022 Christmas festival.

Vice Chairman of the Association, Reverend Doctor Malachi Ogakwu, Chairman of the Pilgrims Board, Pastor Samuel Ajinuhi and the Chaplain, Pastor Henry Asarapo amongst others were part of the delegation.

While presenting a copy of the Holy Bible to the Governor, the CAN Chairman noted that the gift was to appreciate Governor Bello for promoting religious inclusivity and maintaining peaceful coexistence and love towards Christians in the state despite being a Muslim.
