A draw for Bendel Insurance against Kwara United on Saturday extended their unbeaten streak to 13 games in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The game ended 1-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, making it the fourth straight game without a win.
It was Kwara United who went in front first after a goalless first 45 minutes of action.
Alao Mohammed was the goalscorer as his free kick ended up in the back of the net in the 68th minute.
They led for 10 minutes before the Benin Arsenals responded with an equaliser.
Deputy Echeta, who earned his side a 1-1 draw against Plateau United last week, came to the rescue of Insurance again as he stabbed the ball home after a goal-mouth scramble.
The result means that Insurance are leading with 27 points in Group A, five points clear of second-placed Akwa United who will be in action on Sunday against Nasarawa United in Uyo.
