The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State has announced the results of its screening exercise for all chairmanship and councillorship aspirants.
Following the completion of the screening, the party also constituted a seven-member Screening/Primary Election Appeal Committee to address any genuine complaints arising from the screening process and the direct primary election scheduled to take place across the 276 wards in the state today.
This was contained in a statement signed by James Ornguga, the Caretaker Organizing Secretary and Spokesperson for the APC in Benue State on Wednesday.
The committee, which comprises well-respected individuals, is chaired by Hon. Barr. Moses Atagher. Other members include Prof. Eugene Aliegba, Prof. Daniel Amine, Barr. Peter Ocheijele, Hon. Smith Takema Akôm Smith, Barr. Charles Abee, and Hon. Peter Egbodo, who serves as the Secretary.
Aspirants are advised to review their screening results, which have been posted on the party’s notice board at No. 75 JS Tarka Way, Makurdi.
APC has urged aspirants to raise any necessary observations regarding the screening process.
The statement further called on members of the party, popularly known as the broom party, to participate actively in the primaries.
"Members are advised to come out in their numbers to nominate candidates of their choice."
