The wife of the Benue State Governor, Eunice Ortom, has charged women in the state to avail themselves for mentorship, learning and guidance as they develop themselves to achieve personal growth and attain set life goals.
Speaking on Wednesday at a two-day development program with the theme "Empowering women through mentoring: Step Towards Economic, Political, Enterprise and Social Stabilization" organised by the Office of the First Lady, she said there is no time too late nor age that is too old for learning.
Ortom applauded feats achieved by different Benue women in their choosen careers, asserting that it is possible for every other woman to excel and contribute maximally to the development of the society if they prepare themselves well for opportunities.
While elaborating on various related topics, Hon. Margaret Icheen, Chief Rebecca Apedzan, the Head of Civil Service of the state, Veronica Onyeke and Prof. Nancy Agbe all agreed that there was need for women to be more deliberate in their planning to achieve the desired results in their lives.
The training had in attendance women in politics, leadership and administration, entrepreneurs as well as participants from CSOs and NGOs across the state and young school girls.
