Benue Govt Disburses N36m To Tackle Yellow Fever

The Government of Benue has said that it will disburse N36 million to aid the elimination of yellow fever and the completion of the Benue State Primary Health Care Board's office complex in its capital Makurdi.

This was disclosed by the state governor Samuel Ortom on Tuesday while launching the yellow fever campaign.

He stated that the ongoing work on the state Primary Health Care Board's office complex will encourage workers to deliver, adding that the government would support the efforts of the workers in the fight against yellow fever.

Speaking at the launch was the Executive Secretary of the primary health care board, Bem Ageda, who said that four million people in 243 wards will be vaccinated by 1,586 teams.

He added that residents of the other wards had received vaccinations amid the outbreak.
