Benue People Must Ask The Right Questions From Aspirants — Aondoakaa

Benue People Must Ask The Right Questions From Aspirants —

Micheal Aondoakaa

The former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Michael Aondoakaa has asked the people of Benue to ask relevant questions from political aspirants in the state.

The governorship aspirant made this known, weekend, at a stop off at the residennce of Rev. Phillip Tachin, Director of Jos study center, National Open University Nigeria.

Represented by Mr Ngusha Aondoakaa, Aondoakaa charged the youths to understand the pitiable condition of the state and the type of governor they need in 2023.

"Anyone aspiring to be governor of Benue state must be someone who understands that the state needs serious help. It is not about being governor alone. It is not about the glamour of taking over reins in government house.

"The state is where everyone must rise and decide if is not business as usual. Our people are tired of trusting leaders with their will and being failed.

"The people of Benue state need to realize what we are into by asking vital questions on the issue of security, healthcare, agriculture and general welfare: where we are, where we want to be and who to lead us.

"Benue people must ask aspirants the right questions such as;what did you do with the position you occupied? People must ask what I did with my two years and eight months as Attorney General. I didn't understand the need to always be in the media to highlight my achievements. But I am ready to tell Benue people what I did for the state and prove so beyond any doubt. It is time to blow my own trumpet for people to verify my achievements as former AGF.

"Can you secure our votes? It is sad that when people vote for candidates, sometimes the retult announced is different from expectation. People must ask candidate their capacity to protect their votes against anyone who might attempt to subvert their will. I am not being sceptical about the system of election in Nigeria. I am only stating the obvious to our people.

According to him,an Aondoakaa's ticket means serious business for Benue people. If our children who were not born when the late Aper Aku was governor of the state but can verify his laudable achievements. I have the competence to give Benue people what true governance means," he said.
