Benue SEMA Boss Decries Fulani Herdsmen Attack On IDP Camp

The Executive Secretary of Benue State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Dr. Emmanuel Shior has lamented the killing of ni,ne persons by suspected armed herdsmen in the community hosting Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, Abagena, Makurdi Local Council of Benue State.

Shior while addressing the mourners and members of the community on Friday, described the attack as inhuman, barbaric, and unacceptable.

Dr Shior, however, said the people should continue to support Governor Samuel Ortom for his stance against the invaders, given that the country will one day attend to the cries of the Benue people.

He assured the IDPs to have faith in Samuel Ortom's government as security will be beefed up in the area to avoid future occurrences.

While he commiserated with the families of the deceased and prayed to God to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
