Benue State Governor Flags Off Distribution Of 18000 Chairs

The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has reiterated his commitment to creating a conducive atmosphere for learning towards the development of Education in the state.

Ortom who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Benson Abounu Tuesday, at the premises of the Ministry of Energy, science and technology on the occasion of the flag off and distribution of 18,181 chairs to secondary schools and technical colleges in the state, said the continuous growth of the education sector of the state is one amongst his topmost priority and has become important that the first official assignment in the year 2022 is to provide the necessary structures needed for learning.

He further emphasied that, the Government of Benue State places so much interest in the development of Education and creating a conducive atmosphere is not out of place. The Benue State Government has made the provision of these structures periodically to make sure all schools are reached in the state.

Earlier, the Supervisory Commissioner for Education, Dr-Godwin Emmanuel Oyiwona expressed gratitude to the Governor for his magnanimity in his interest in the development of Education in the state. He thanked the Government of the state for finding the Education Sector worthy to receive the first developmental attention in the year 2022. He further pledged his undivided loyalty as a steward used to drive the development of Education in the state.

In her Vote of thanks, the Head of Service, Benue State, Mrs Veronica Onyeke, thanked the Present Administration of Governor Samuel Ortom for starting the year on a developmental note as a prove that 2022 is not going to be business as usual. She called on all stakeholders to come on board to push the Education Sector to greater heights.
