Benue: Tiv Youth Demand Investigation Of Suspended BIPC Director

Benue: Tiv Youth Demand Investigation Of Suspended BIPC Dire

Alex Adum

The Tiv Youth Council Worldwide has called for the investigation into allegations of financial impropriety levelled against the suspended Managing Director of the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), Alex Adum.

Recall that AllNews reported that the state governor, Samuel Ortom suspended the BIPC boss over allegations of financial impropriety.

The President of the youth council, Hon. Mike Msuaan, stated this in a press statement in Abuja while reacting to the suspension of Alex Adum by Governor Samuel Ortom.

The president of the Tiv youth group has stated that a thorough investigation into the alleged nebulous sale of Benue properties in Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja should be carried out with the aim of returning the Benue legacy properties back to the state government.

“We call for a detailed investigation and explanation by Barr. Alex Adum on the alleged sale of Benue properties in Kaduna, Lagos and Abuja under the watch of the former CEO.

"As the investment hub of the government, what has happened to the proceeds from such sales should be investigated.

“We demand that Governor Ortom extends his searchlight to other MDAs in the state in fulfilment of his much-touted slogan of” if you chop money, money will chop you.

“This could be the reason, democracy dividends have continued to elude the people of Benue under his administration,” he said.
