Benue Volunteer Guards Arrest Man Over Stolen Traffic Light

The Benue State Community Volunteer Guards have arrested one Enekela Timothy of behind DSTV Office, Barracks Road Makurdi for stealing two mounted traffic lights located at the Wadata Mortuary Gate.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday in Makurdi the state capital along with Terfa Baba Razor and Oga Bala who are on the run. 

Parading the suspect at their office shortly  before handing him over to the police, the BSCVG Ward Commander of Progressive Unit,  Wadata Command Isa Yusup said he was alerted early in the morning by a scavenger popularly known as  'Iron Condemn' that some persons had brought the two traffic lights for sale at his shop.

He said the Iron scavenger is one of those who give them information on suspicious materials  that are brought to his shop.

Commandant BSCVG Capt Ayuma Ajobi said his men have been ordered to comb the area and arrest the  other suspects who are at large.

He commended his boys for stepping up efforts in ensuring that Benue was rid of criminal activities, noting that he was impressed with the level his men have been implementing the training they have acquired.

Ayuma finally called on the public to continue to support his organization in volunteering information that will lead to arrest of criminal elements who are bent on causing unrest in the state.
