Benzema Set For Move To Al-Ittihad After Trophy-Laden Career

French striker Karim Benzema is set to sign a deal with Saudi Arabia Champion Al-Ittihad after saying his farewell to Real Madrid on Sunday with an equalizer against Athletic Bilbao.

Benzema 35, ended his 13 years stay at the Spanish club which coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted was a surprise to him. 

According to Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, "Karim Benzema has signed main part of docs to become new Al Ittihad player joining the Saudi league — here we go!

"Understand contract will be valid until 2025 but will also include an option for a further season. Karim will say goodbye to Madrid fans and then travel to Saudi."

Benzema has won everything at Real Madrid after making a move to Los Blancos from Lyon.

He played with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale forming a formidable trident that went on to win the La Decima and a back-to-back-to-back UEFA Champions League.

Benzema also established himself as a complete player rising to the occasion after the departure of Ronaldo and Bale, forming a duo with Brazilian winger Vinicius to win a La Liga and Champions League double which earned him the Pichichi and Ballon d'Or of his own.

In his final season, Benzema won the Copa del Rey alongside UEFA Super Cup and World Club Cup.
