Nnamdi Kanu, the self-exiled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that Aisha Buhari, the First Lady of Nigeria and wife of the current President, Muhammadu Buhari, has a boyfriend.
AllNews reports that Kanu has repeatedly asserted that President Buhari is dead, and recently claimed that Aisha Buhari will end up in jail "by the time Nigerians realise that the man in charge of the government is not who they voted for in 2015".

Kanu via his known Twitter handle on Saturday seized the chance to further berate the present administration.
A presidential source had revealed that Aisha Buhari's aides were recently arrested as a result of heated arguments between a personal staff of the President, Sabiu Yusuf; President Buhari’s nephew; and the First Lady. This, according to Sahara Reporters.
Trouble started when Sabiu on Thursday night returned to his residence in the Presidential Villa after a trip to Lagos to visit his wife who put to bed recently.
Sabiu, however, reportedly did not isolate himself after returning from Lagos.
Lagos is the epicentre of Nigeria’s battle against the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), accounting for 6,840 cases out of 15, 181 confirmed in the country.
Apart from his travelling to Lagos, violating the ban on inter-state travels put in place by the presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Sabiu’s decision not to self-isolate did not go down well with Aisha who expected the presidential aide to have self-isolate for 14 days as prescribed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
An argument ensued between the two parties and security aides of the First Lady.
According to a source in the Villa, shots were fired inside Aso Rock 'as a sign of warning'.
The source added that “after he [Sabiu] escaped, he reached out to the IGP” to report the case.
IGP Mohammed Adamu, after receiving a security report on the incident on Friday, ordered the arrest of the all the security aides that were involved.
Aisha has since demanded the release of her staff who are in police custody.
That Covid-19 is real and still very much around in our nation is not in doubt. Consequently, I call on all relevant Government Agencies to enforce the Quarantine Act signed by Mr. President and ensure no one is found violating this law and the NCDC guidelines

especially on interstate travel without the necessary exemptions for movement of essentials. Anyone who does that should at the very least be made to under go a 14 days mandatory isolation no matter who the person is, no one should be above the law and the Police command

will do well to remember that.

Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody.
Reacting to the scuffle, controversial Kanu claimed it was an attempted coup to topple the ‘presidency’ and accused Aisha of having a secret lover.

IPOB is one of the organisations leading the renewed agitation for Biafran independence.
Its founder, Nnamdi Kanu, first revived Radio Biafra in 2009, using it to further the organisation’s pro-independence cause with broadcasts from abroad.
Researchers have found that the pirate radio station also supplies disinformation.
Prof Lai Oso, who teaches mass communication at Lagos State University’s School of Communication, likened Biafra’s online disinformation campaign to propaganda.
Oso is also the president of the Association of Communication Scholars and Professionals of Nigeria.
“In this era when fact-checking is becoming common and advancements in technology have made it easier for people to find facts, propaganda or disinformation is not a good communication strategy,” he told Africa Check in January.
Furthermore, a professor of mass communication at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Emmanuel Udeze, stated that the false claims about Biafra seem to be taking advantage of the limitations of social media when it comes to gatekeeping.
“This is the other side of citizen journalism. Because everyone can now do reports and disseminate information, you can’t prevent the publishing of false information online.
“And because of people’s varying levels of understanding, quite a number of people can be fooled to believe false information at first,” Udeze said.
