The self-exiled leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu says "only Afghanistan and Iraq are worse" than Nigeria, a country he bemoans "is now so utterly dominated by terrorist violence", AllNews reports.
The controversial political activist as well declared that Africa's most populous country "is about to implode".
Kanu, 52, made this affirmation on his known Twitter handle on Thursday.
‘Nigeria is about to IMPLODE. Muslim Fulani militants have undertaken a campaign of mass slaughter against Christians. Nigeria is now so utterly dominated by terrorist violence that only Afghanistan & Iraq are worse’.

Kanu’s Biafra struggle is on the backdrop of a belief that the Nigerian state has continued to marginalise the Igbos of southeastern Nigeria.
He has been critical of the supposed abuse of the rule of law, corruption of public office holders, and the underdevelopment of the region in recent memory.
Many within the South-East and South-South region have clearly bought into his sentiments.

Although President Muhammadu Buhari has made it clear that his administration will not preside over a divided Nigeria, the continued denial of sovereignty has further infuriated Kanu, IPOB, and Biafra supporters.
