The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has asserted that the proscription of his group by the Nigerian government "has made the exit of Biafra more urgent and certain", AllNews reports.
Self-exiled Kanu made this submission on Saturday on his known Twitter handle.
The Federal High Court in Abuja had labelled the IPOB as a terrorist organization on 18 September 2017.
The IPOB have fought against this proscription, and sought to reverse the court's decision.
However, their attempt has ultimately been unsuccessful, and they continue to be declared as terrorist organization under Nigeria’s Terrorism Act.

Let the #Zoo know that ANC was once PROSCRIBED, declared terrorists & Mandela was exiled & jailed, so were Israel’s Zionists & Mugabe’s Patriotic Front. Ultimately, each prevailed & founded a NEW NATION.
