Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) activists, Nnamdi Kanu and Ifeanyi Ejiofor on Friday felicitated Nigerians on the occasion of the New Year celebration in the country, AllNews reports.
Both men took their known social media page to share their special message.
“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.” —William Shakespeare," Kanu stated on his known Facebook page while quoting the great English playwright, Shakespeare.
"As with the beginning of each new year, the start of this 2021 Gregorian calendar marks the commencement of yet another important part of the work we must ALL do to live as free beings.
"No matter how hard the past may have been, and 2020 will go down as one of the most difficult in living memory, we can always begin again and we shall.
"The future belongs to all of us who believe in the beauty of freedom.
"It doesn't matter which ethinicity or tribe you are identified with or which religious persuasion you subscribe to, what matters is the collective pursuit of this dream of ours- this dream of FREEDOM FOR ALL, born out of hope for a better tomorrow devoid of oppression and rancour.
"From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the great and noble family of IPOB worldwide, I wish all Biafrans and lovers of freedom all over the world a PROSPEROUS & HAPPY GREGORIAN NEW YEAR!"
The Lord shall keep Us and Sustain Us Now and forever more.Amen.Happy New Year to my wonderful friends.
