Nnamdi Kanu, a Nigerian Biafra political activist and leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Friday revealed that Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe asked him to direct his followers to refrain from stoning Nnia Nwodo, President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, AllNews reports.
Nwodo had asked Igbo youths and other pro-Biafra agitators to employ diplomacy in their quest for self- determination.
He said that Ndigbo were not known for violence, and advised the youths to continue to maintain decorum and peace no matter the level of provocation.
The Ohanaeze leader gave the advice when he kicked off the distribution of COVID-19 palliatives procured by the president of the youths arm of the group, Arthur Obioha, for the young Igbo not long ago.
Reacting to the current insecurity being witnessed in Nigeria, self-exiled Kanu berated Ohanaeze for 'not listening to his warnings'.
"Years ago, I told the governors, Ohanaeze, anybody that is willing to listen to the revelation I had, that the Fulanis are coming," Kanu said during a Facebook Live broadcast.
"So if you want to know the reason why I speak to you the way I do, it is because of your foolishness. You were warned.
"Do you know what is paining me tonight? And why Nnia Nwodo should be stoned.
"Anywhere you see him outside, stone him to death."

But speaking during his routine broadcast this morning, Kanu disclosed the 'new development'.
"I have listened to some wise counsel from some people," Kanu stated.
"Senator Abaribe (Enyinnaya) being one of them; to say we should leave him alone.
"And I've listened. Nobody should stone him (Nwodo) if you see him. Leave him.
"Let's give him some months to see if he'd repent."
