Biafra: What Most People Don't Know About My Arrest In Nigeria - IPOB's Nnamdi Kanu

Biafra: What Most People Don't Know About My Arrest In Niger

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says "most people don’t know that one of the major reasons they arrested me was for insulting President Muhammadu Buhari", AllNews reports.

Kanu was arrested on treason charges in Lagos, Nigeria on 14 October 2015 and was detained for more than a year, despite various court orders that ruled for his release.

The Nigerian Army had launched multiple “Operation Python Dance” which it said was designed to checkmate violent groups and ethnic militia in the South-eastern part of the country.

But IPOB had severally condemned the Army's Operation Python Dance, describing it as a calculated plan by the Federal Government and the state governors in the South-East region to annihilate its members in the zone.
