Biden's Campaign Advisory Firm Targeted By Suspected Russian

Tech firm, Microsoft Corp, has revealed that the election campaign advisory firm of the Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, has become a target of suspected Russian-backed hackers.

The advisory firm SKDKnickerbocker, based in Washington has been faced with a number of hacking attempts.

SKDKnickerbocker manages strategies and communications of Biden and other top Democratic members for two months now, according to sources.

A source close to the firm said that the hackers had tried to gain access to the firm's networks, an effort that proved futile.

The source said, “They are well-defended, so there has been no breach."

The source added that the hackers had used the phishing method, a method employed to trick users into revealing their private details.

Other sources said that the hacking attempts were flagged by Microsoft to SKDKnickerbocker, and the hack was suspected to be of Russian origin.

When asked to comment on the issue, the Vice Chairman of the firm, Hilary Rosen, provided no information on the matter, and neither did Biden's spokesman.

According to Robert Mueller, former special counsel, the Russian government was also responsible for the 2016 election meddling.

Mueller had also raised the alarm that the Russian Government was trying to interfere in the upcoming November elections, a claim that was debunked by Russia.
