Big celebs built their base through my show — Charly Boy

Singer Charly Boy has stated that big celebrities in Nigeria built their base through his show, The Charlyboy Show.

In an X post, the TV presenter asked if anyone remembered the show where he claimed "anything and everything happens".

According to Charlyboy, the show served as a nurturing ground for exceptional talents and creatives in Nigeria.

The singer also shared a 25-year-old video of the Plantashun Boiz, a Nigerian hip-hop and R&B music group which was made up of 2face Idibia, Faze and Blackface.

The Charly Boy Show was a popular weekly sketch/variety show intertwining politics while showcasing music, comedy, and hosting various celebrity appearances in the 80s.

The show was produced by the iconic Nigerian publisher and producer, Charly Boy 

The show, however, returned in 2021 but exclusively on the Ogelle platform.

"How many of Una remember The Charlyboy Show, where Anything and Everything happens. Many of todays Big celebs built their base through the show.

"It was the breeding ground for Nigerians talented and exceptional creatives.

"Remember the Plantation Boys. Dis na how dem bin dey look 25yrs ago. He shock you?" he tweeted,
