This has sparked speculations that ‘CR7’ could be on his way back to his former club, Manchester United of the English Premier League (EPL).
Juventus are set to miss out on the Serie A title for the first time since 2011 and Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes is working hard to find a new club for his star client.
Since his move to the Turin-based side in the summer of 2018, Ronaldo hasn't won the UEFA Champions League (UCL) trophy - a tournament Ronaldo has lightheartedly been named after. The accolade of the best in the world by both FIFA and France Football have also eluded him since leaving Real Madrid.
As per a report on Italian paper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 36-year-old is happy to take a wage cut in order to make the move happen, and The Old Lady would benefit from removing his high salary from their wage bill as they have economic issues of their own.
Paul Pogba could even be included in a swap deal for Ronaldo, with the French World Cup-winning midfielder returning to the Old Lady after leaving for England in 2016.
Ronaldo, then, is doing what he can do push a move back to United, where he won his first World’s Best Award.
