Bindow Joins Adamawa Governorship Race, Picks Marthins Babal

The former governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Bindow Jibrilla has formally joined the race for governor in comes the 2023 election.

Bindow made the declaration at the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yola.

He said while he accepts his mistakes in his past administration, he hopes to make amends if elected.

He further asked his party and supporters for forgiveness while seeking a second chance.

He noted that his administration had executed projects as dividends of democracy in the state including 387 roads and bridges.

He said giving him a second chance would allow him to continue the good work he started.

The former governor further promised to take along his former deputy, Martins Babale through the race.

He also urged other candidates to step down for him while he reclaims the state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The state chairman of the APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal also called on supporters of the party to join them in voting the PDP out of power.
