Former representative of Kogi West Senatorial district at the Nigerian Senate, Dino Melaye has told the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration that the government is not owned by them as he warns against the arrest or embarrassment of catholic Bishop Mathew Kukah.
Taking to his Twitter page to issue this stern warning to the federal government, Melaye who pointed out that the government is trying to put fear in the mind of Nigerians further called on Nigerians to kill fear and speak the truth.
Further warning that Nigerians will prove to the Buhari-led administration that the government is owned by the people, Melaye wrote:
"Arrest or try to embarass Bishop Kukah and we will prove to you that Government is not owned by you but the people.
"They want to scare every body. Ko jooooo.
"Kill fear and speak the truth to power."
Recall that Kukah had while delivering his Christmas message to Nigerians last week decried the alleged level of nepotism by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to Kukah, Nigeria under President Muhammadu Buhari was journeying into darkness.
Responding to Kukah's Christmas message, the minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed warned religious leaders to desist from making comments capable of dividing the country.
AllNews had earlier on Tuesday reported that Arewa Youths said that the Catholic Bishop should be arrested for treasonable felony.
This was declared by the National President of the group, Yerima Shettima, who said that Kukah had betrayed something "much more sinister" against Nigeria and the north.
