'Black Panther 2': How Latest Trailer May Be Fooling MCU Fans

'Black Panther 2': How Latest Trailer May Be Fooling MCU Fan

The recent release of the official trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever created an internet frenzy the likes of which has not been seen lately.

The short clip gave MCU fans a peek into what is coming for the kingdom of Wakanda following the untimely demise of King T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman).

But perhaps more importantly, the latter part of the trailer shows what appears to be T'Challa's sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) donning the Black Panther suit, presumably taking over the mantle of the superhero.

The above is something many fans have speculated and seeing it play out made the upcoming movie a trending topic on social media.

In a shocking turn of events, some of the actors in Wakanda Forever have blown a hole in that theory, saying the fans have got it all wrong.

In a recent chat with Elle, actress Lupita Nyong'o (who portrays Nakia) said of the speculation: "We love the speculation."

Okoye star Dania Gurira had the following to say about it: "They’re not getting all of it right! No, they haven’t guessed it at all."

So, the question is if Shuri doesn't become the new Black Panther, then who does? Who was in the trailer wearing the costume? Could there be more than one Black Panther?

I guess we will have to wait until Black Panther: Wakanda Forever arrives in cinemas.

The sequel which sees Ryan Coogler return as director is scheduled for release in North America on November 11, 2022.
