'Black Panther' 2: Villain Of Upcoming Sequel Revealed

The villain of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has been revealed to be the MCU's Namor the Sub-Mariner, and he will reportedly be played by actor Tenoch Huerta.

Since the passing away of Chadwick Boseman, many have wondered the direction the sequel would go. The official reveal of the title was met with excitement as it hints at the fictional African city being explored further.

Even though fans still don't know who the central character in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be, a recent report has disclosed who the protagonist will be up against.

According to The IlluminerdiNarcos: Mexico actor Tenoch Huerta who joined the cast of the upcoming sequel in November last year is playing Namor, the Sub-Mariner, the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

If the report is indeed true, it would be in line with the comics (a conflict between Wakanda and another ancient civilization was treated in one of the issues). Translating this to the big screen will introduce audiences to Marvel's version of Atlantis.

With director Ryan Coogler doing a great job with the first Black Panther film, it can only be assumed that he is set to do something even more ingenious this time around.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated to arrive on July 8, 2022. Letitia WrightLupita Nyong'oWinston Duke, and Angela Bassett will reportedly reprise their roles.
