To avoid a lawsuit, Chocolate City rapper Blaqbonez has made an appeal to singer Asa for sampling her song ‘360’, on his forthcoming album, ‘Young Preacher’.
He shared a snippet of a single titled ‘I'd Be Waiting’ off his forthcoming album on his Twitter page on Tuesday and said that his team already reached out to Asa for clearance.
Although Blaqbonez mentioned Asa, he, however, tagged YBNL singer Asake on the tweet.
“Hi queen Asa (@asakemusik), I sampled your classic on the outro of my album, my team has reached out to yours for clearance. Thank you,” Blaqbonez tweeted.

His appeal comes after Asa issued a copyright infringement notice to Joeboy.
The notice dated September 30 gave Joeboy the ultimatum of 24 hours to bring down his recent song ‘Contour’ which was released in August 2022, as the musical composition infringes on the right of Asa.
Asa demanded a written apology, the sum of N300 million, as well as a 60% publishing split on the song.
In response, Joeboy laughed and said that people assume that he is soft because he embraces peace.
He, however, urged Asa to do something as it's been 48 hours since he was issued the notice and he is yet to bring down the song.
