Bob Marley (February 6, 1945 — May 11, 1981) was known for fusing elements of reggae, ska, and rocksteady with his distinctive vocals and songwriting.
His greatest hits album Legend was released in 1984 (three years after his passing), and became the bestselling reggae album of all-time.

Per a report from Deadline, Paramount Pictures has chosen filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green (director of King Richard) to direct a Bob Marley film for the studio. Production will be handled by Ziggy Marley, Rita Marley, and Cedella Marley.
Speaking about the project, Greens said, "Bob Marley's music lives on in all of us. His lyrics transcends continents, colour, creed, and generations of people."
