As the House of Representatives considers a bill to outlaw cross-dressing in Nigeria and jail offenders for six months, Bobrisky has released a post stating that he is a woman and not a crossdresser.
The bill, which was read aloud on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, seeks to outlaw cross-dressing while exempting those who do it for entertainment.
Cross-dressers will be sentenced to 6 months in prison if the proposed law is passed.
Bobrisky responded on Instagram, saying that he has undergone multiple surgeries to change his sex and that those surgeries cannot be reversed, so he is a woman, not a crossdresser.
He stated that he has lawyers and doctors to defend his claims and that he has nothing to worry about.
"Na who be crossdresser go dey fear," he added.
