Boko Haram: Gubana Sympathises With Buni Gari Over Killing O

The Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Idi Barde Gubana, has visited Buni Gari and sympathised with the relatives of the 10 youths killed by Boko Haram terrorists. 

Gubana commiserated with the Emir and the people of the community in Gujba local government area of the state.

The deputy governor amidst tears on Saturday, lamented over the unfortunate incident in the month of Ramadan. 

He prayed to Allah to reward the deceased persons with Aljanna Firdausi.

Gubana condemned the barbaric act of killing the innocent people in cold blood.

He appealed to security agencies to intensify measures to trace the killers and clear the bush to enable the residents of Buni Gari participate in the forthcoming farming season.

The Deputy Governor presented relief materials and cash to the immediate families of the deceased.

Earlier speaking the Member representing Gujba constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon Bulama Bukar and Emir of Gujba, Mai Muktar Ibn Ali Gangaran, appreciated the swift response and concern of the Buni-led administration. 

This was contained in a statement by Hussaini Mai Suleh, spokesperson to the Deputy Governor.

Narrating the incident, the Director, Personnel Management of Gujba LGA, Alh. Harande explained that the incident occurred on Thursday evening in which three people were earlier reported kidnapped and killed on their way to fetch firewood. 

He added that relatives and friends mobilised themselves and move to the bush searching for their loved ones who went missing. 

Unknown to them it was the Boko Haram terrorists that killed the missing people.

The same perpetrators laid ambush and killed the team of rescuers, ten of them. 

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by some members of the State Executive Council, Heads of Security Agencies and other top government officials.
