Bolanle Raheem: Banky W Demands Justice For Slain Lawyer

Nigerian singer cum politician Banky W has reacted to the tragic death of Bolanle Raheem, the 41-year-old lawyer who was gunned down by a trigger-happy police officer, Drambi Vandi, on Christmas day.

On Sunday, news of the tragedy swept across the internet, with the deceased becoming a trending topic on Twitter, where many called for justice on her behalf.

It was also revealed that the erring cop has been detained by his colleagues.

In a tweet on Tuesday morning, Banky W described the death as completely heartbreaking.

In addition to requesting that Vandi be promptly brought to justice, he also demanded that the authorities make an example of Vandi in order to dissuade others from acting recklessly.

“The death of Bolanle Raheem is completely heartbreaking.

"I can only imagine the kind of intense pain her family is going through.

“The policeman responsible MUST be brought to justice swiftly.

"The authorities must make an example out of him to deter others from this recklessness,” he tweeted.
