Boniface affirms staying at Bayer Leverkusen

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface has restated his commitment to Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen and that he is not contemplating leaving the club at the end of the season.

Reward for hardwork may be one of the reasons Europe's biggest clubs are poaching on the player but the Nigerian has indicated that he is going nowhere.

Boniface joined Die Werkself from Belgian Pro League outfit, Union St Gilloise last summer and his goals were instrumental in the campign but he sustained an injury prior to Nigria's AFCON runners up run in Ivory Coast.

“My current focus is solely on Leverkusen, striving to aid the team in achieving further milestones. It will undoubtedly stand as one of my proudest moments ever,” Boniface told AFP on Tuesday.

Boniface has scored 11 Bundesliga league goals in 20 games, but unable to add to that number due to his long spell on the sidelines through injury.
