Booting Of Our Officials From United States A 'Mistake' - C

Following the expulsion of two Chinese Embassy officials from Washington by the United States, China has come out to say that the removal of its diplomats was a "mistake."

In September, the United States had expelled two Chinese diplomats after they drove into a Virginian military base.

It was reported that one of the two people who drove onto the site was an intelligence officer moving under the badge of diplomatic work.

With their entry into the Virginian base, they broke security rules, and only stopped after their path was blocked by fire fighting trucks.

China's foreign ministry's spokesperson, Geng Shuang, commented on The New York Times report, saying that the stories were “completely contrary to the facts” and that they [China] “strongly urge the United States to correct its mistake.”

It is still unknown why the men drove to the site, but US officials believe that it was to test security at the base, this is according to a source.
