As AllNews joins the rest of Nigerians to celebrate Bopdaddy, we have compiled some reports of his commitments towards a better Nigeria.

Falz Joins Runtown In Physical protest

It is safe to say that the participation of Falz and other celebrities in the struggle, to a large extent influenced the massive turnout of other youths in the fight.

Falz is one of the beginners of the peaceful protest in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Prior to the day the first one was to hold, he had announced that "I will be at the peaceful #EndSARS protest taking place on Thursday, Oct 8 by 10 AM. We take off from Lekki Phase 1 toll gate!" Falz tweeted.

Falz Pulls Out Of FG's Meeting On Police Brutality

Falz, on October 16,  insisted on the 5 demands of the youths while withdrawing himself from a meeting scheduled to hold to address police brutality in the country.

The actor and comedian announced his withdrawal just a few hours before the commencement of the meeting coordinated by the Ministry of Youths and Sport.

The meeting that was to hold virtually at 3 pm had scheduled panelists such as Mohammed Adamu, the inspector- general of police (IGP); Segun Awosanya, human rights activist better known as Segalink, Falz and Joe Abah, a former director-general, Bureau of Public Service Reforms.

“I will not be on this panel. I was given false information. Plus there is no need for all this, please!! The agenda is clear,” he had said.

Falz's Condemnation of Buhari's Speech

President Muhammadu Buhari, some days ago, broke his silence over opened gunfire on #EndSars protesters in the Lekki tollgate area of Lagos state and while many expected him to address the incident, he failed to.

Falz, while reacting to Buhari's pledge on police reform, described it as irritating and annoying.

While speaking in an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, the rapper criticised the government for not carrying out the reform as they have always promised.

A clip of Buhari’s Thursday’s speech was played, where the president addressed the nation in response to the #EndSARS campaigners’ demands and pledged that extensive police reforms were underway.

Asked how much stock he puts in Buhari’s pledges, Falz said: “It’s infuriating, annoying and frustrating. And I think that’s how everyone is feeling right now.

“They have been reforming the police for a long time and we have never seen actual action. They announced that SARS had been disbanded in 2017, 2018, 2019, and now 2020.

“They just think we are stupid. It is insensitive.” “I am not afraid for my life because where we are right now, I feel like I can easily die by anything else anyway," he continued.

Falz Vows To get Justice For Lost Souls At Lekki Tollgate

In an Instagram video on, Monday, October 27, Falz swore on his life, as he promised to get justice for protesters who died in the struggle for an end to police brutality.

He wrote “And we know that it’s gonna continue going for a while, but we’re ready. It’s really unfortunate we lost a lot of soldiers. It’s been a tough past two weeks. In fact, you know everyone that has fallen as a result of police brutality, as a result of the gruesome act of the military that we saw last week.

“But the least we could do is to make sure that they get justice, that’s the least we could do.

“I swear on my life, I would do everything within my power to make sure justice is served. I know I said I’m not gonna be on the panel, but I will follow every step of the way. In fact, I’d be as good as on that panel, make sure that everything that needs to be done in terms of legal representation for all the victims is in place.

“We need to make sure. I cannot stress this enough, we need to make sure that justice is served. It’s the least that we owe the soldier that we’ve lost.”
