The General Manager of the Borno State Traffic Management Agency (BOTMA), Engnr. Baba Shehu Tijjani, has called on officers of the agency to maintain standard discipline while discharging their duties.
Tijjani made the call on Monday while addressing the officers during inspection at the agency's office in Maiduguri, the state's capital.
He further urged them to remain punctual while discharging their primary responsibilities.
Tijjani also rewarded an outstanding officer, Mamman Manu, with a new set of uniform and N5000 cash reward, for his excellent performance on duty.
The BOTMA boss had earlier this year promised to reward the officers who have performed excellently while discharging their duties.
As contained in a statement on Monday by Mohammed Zanna, spokesperson of the agency, Tijjani had rewarded five officers in the past three months.
Also speaking, the chief Information Officer of the agency, Bashir Isa Usman, appreciated the general manager for his effort in providing foodstuffs for the officers during Ramadan.
He said the gesture has complemented the agency's Ramadan provision exercise.
