Borno NUJ Congratulates Bulama On Appointment As DG FRCN

The Borno State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated (Dr) Mohammed Bulama, on his appointment as the new Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

The union, led by its Chairman, Dauda Iliya, made the felicitations known in a letter addressed to the new DG on Wednesday morning.

The letter which was signed by the council's secretary, Chiroma Ali Ibrahim, noted that Bulama's appointment did not come as a surprise to the union considering his wealth of experience.

"The Nigeria Union of Journalists Borno State Council under the leadership of comrade Dauda Iliya on behalf of the entire working journalists in the state wishes to felicitate with you on your appointment as the new Director General of Radio Nigeria.

"Your appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the largest Radio network in Africa did not come to the NUJ in Borno as a surprise considering your track records of service and the unwavering commitment you made as the Assistant Director of Strategic Communication of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

"The Union equally recalled with nostalgia the support extended to NUJ Borno State Council while serving as a commissioner of Information and Culture and the transformation of State-owned Media station the BRTV.

"We therefore look forward to upgrading the facilities of National and FM stations under the stable of Radio Nigeria particularly Peace FM Maiduguri to enable it to regain its lost glory

"Once again congratulations and wishing you successful tenure of office," the letter reads.
