Borno: Zulum approves chair, permanent commissioners for ass

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the appointment of the Chairman, 2 Permanent Commissioners and three Non-commissioned members for the State House of Assembly Service Commission.

The Governor's approval was conveyed in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bukar Tijani on Monday.

According to the SSG, the governor approved Ali Bulama Yaajiwa as Chairman while Rawa Goni Bukar and Mohammed Saleh Banga were appointed as Permanent Commissioners.

He said the other non-commissioned members include Bukar Mallam Bura, Alifa Dikwa and Dala Mutah.

The SSG explained that Rawa Goni Bukar, Bukar Mallam Bura and Alifa Dikwa were reappointed for a second tenure while Mohammed Saleh Banga and Dala Mutah were appointed for a first tenure.

He added that all the appointments were subject to confirmation by the Borno State House of Assembly.

As contained in a statement by Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, the governor's media aide, the SSG said: "The appointment is by the powers conferred on Governor Zulum by section 198 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."

The governor further congratulated the new appointees with the hope that they bring their expertise, commitment and dedication to the new roles.
