Borno: Zulum approves new board members in education sector

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum has approved the appointment of new board members for the State Senior Secondary Education Board.

The State Commissioner of Information, Professor Usman A. Tar conveyed the governor's approval in a statement on Saturday. 

According to the statement, the governor's approval for the appointment and constitution of the board was based on the powers vested in him "by virtue of the law establishing the Borno State Senior Secondary Education Board (2023)."

The commissioner said the governor approved Alhaji Ali Kaka as the Executive Chairman while Abatcha Mala serves as the board's secretary.

He directed that all the eleven-member board appointees "are to proceed to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government for collection of their appointment letters and statutory documentation."

He added that the Governor looks forward to having the appointees justify the trust and confidence reposed in them through the appointment.

Other appointed members of the board include: Ibrahim Sarki as Permanent Member I; Bunu Goso as Permanent Member II and Falmata Alhaji Bukar as Permanent Member III.

Others are Abba Ali Ladan, Grema Bulama, Representative of NSSEC, Bako Lawan, Patience Malgwi, Lassaini Mai Abdu and Mohammed Kukawa.
