Borno: Zulum's Convoy Attacked Again By Boko Haram

Members of the Boko Haram insurgent group have, again, attacked the convoy of the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, barely 48 hours after the last attack on the governor's convoy.

Zulum's convoy was attacked along the Cross Kauwa-Baga road, Borno State.

During the governor's trip along the Monguno-Maiduguri road, members of the insurgent group attacked waylaid his convoy, sources say.

Monguno lies just 80km north from Maiduguri, the state capital, where the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp is situated.

According to eyewitnesses, the back tyre of the vehicle containing members of the press was shot, although, the driver of the vehicle drove to safety.
