Ladan Bosso, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, has reacted to his team's exit from the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Flying Eagles were beaten 1-0 by South Korea in Sunday's quarter-final match.
Choi Seok-hyeon netted the winner in extra-time to end the Eagles' quest for a maiden title.
Bosso attributed Nigeria's defeat to his players inability to convert their chances in the final third.
“We tried our best but it wasn’t good enough. Our finishing wasn’t good," he said.
Bosso however eulogised his players for their performance in the tournament despite their elimination.
"But you can see we’ve left a group of players for the federation to build on,” he added.
While the Eagles didn't live up to expectations, they indeed made their mark in their run to the quarter-finals, shocking Italy and upseting hosts Argentina.
