BOTMA Boss Hosts AUPCTRE Delegation In Borno

The General Manager of Borno State Traffic Management Agency (BOTMA), Engr. Baba Shehu Tijjani has hosted a delegation from the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE).

The delegation was led by the state chairman of the AUPCTRE, Alhaji Mohammed Adamu on Tuesday.

In his remark, Adamu commended the BOTMA boss for promoting safety on roads across the state.

He noted that the agency has achieved a lot, instilling traffic discipline in the state. 

He added that with the establishment of BOTMA, "Reckless driving, under-age driving, wrong parking, phone snatching and other related crimes has drastically reduced in the State.

"BOTMA has recovered many stolen vehicles (cars and tricycles) and other items," he declared.

This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the spokesperson of the agency, Mohammed Zanna on Tuesday.

According to Zanna, the AUPCTRE Chairman further enlightened the BOTMA manager about the activities of the union.

He explained that the union provides a home for all staff of the ministries, agencies and transport related sectors nationwide, hence, the need for the manager to register as a member. 

While responding, Engnr. Tijjani appreciated the delegation for the visit and registering him as a member.

He further assured them of his lawful support whenever he is needed.
