Boulter defeats Raducanu in British battle to win Nottingh

Katie Boulter was resolute as she beat Emma Raducanu 6-7(13) 6-3 6-4 in their all-British Nottingham Open semi-final, Sunday afternoon.

The match had begun on Saturday before a rain delay caused the remainder of the contest was to be delayed until Sunday.

The first set of the game was a close affair as Raducan who slipped and fell on Saturday, appearing to hurt her knee on the wet surface before the action was halted, showed little or no sign of the effects.

Raducanu even took the set on a tie-break, 15-13, after 80 minutes on the court.

Howeever, Raducanu who defended three break points, could not pull off the same trick a fourth time and surrendered the advantage.

From that point onwards, it was Boulter's game to lose but she remained focused to see the game through.
