West Ham United picked up the much-needed result at home after a series of attacking adventures against the opposition area thanks to a strike from Lucas Paqueta.
They welcomed Greek giants Olympiakos in London and it promised to be a daunting game for West Ham.
But somehow the London club was able to manage to find the breakthrough goal they needed in the contest.
After some pretty good play from the home side, James Ward-Prowse found Brazil star Lucas Paqueta inside the box who volleyed home a screamer for the winning goal for West Ham United.
The goal was initially ruled for an offside but after VAR revealed that Paqueta was slightly behind the last man in the Olympiakos area, the goal was given.
Mady Camara missed a chance to equalize for Olympiakos as his effort hit the crossbar in the closing stages of the game.
