EFCC declares Yahaya Bello wanted

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Yahaya Bello wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes amounting to N80.2 billion.

The former governor is wanted by the anti-graft agency for alleged corrupt practices while in office as governor of Kogi State.

AllNews.ng reports that the last 24 hours were filled with drama and a hide-and-seek game between both parties over the move to arrest Bello for arraignment this Thursday.

In a statement released by the EFCC, members of the public are urged to provide any information regarding his whereabouts immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.

"Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 Billion. Anybody with information as to his whereabouts should report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station."
