    Nigeria's 4x100m relay women's team on Thursday morning failed to reach the final of the event after finishing in 5th place in the semifinal race. 

    The Nigerian contingent ran in Lane 4 of the Heat and midway through the race were third and fourth but ultimately missed automatic qualification reserved for the first five finishers.

    Meanwhile, at the time of filing this report, the Ivorian team that competed in the earlier Heat were disqualified as one of their athletes tan outside of the lane
