Brentford Upset Chelsea on their visit to Stamford Bridge courtesy of goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo in Saturday's West London derby.
The Blues began the proceedings brightly but could not find the breakthrough with Noni Madueke going closest with a shot that struck the woodwork.
Their profligacy cost them on 58 minutes when Pinnock nodded in Mbeumo’s right-wing cross.
Chelsea were then forced to throw bodies forward for an equaliser but rarely looked like rescuing a draw.
The killer blow was delivered late on when Neal Maupay led a Brentford counter-attack and set up Mbeumo for the second.
Victory made it the third season in a row Brentford have won at the Bridge and lifted them to 10th in the table, one point and one place above Chelsea.
