In what shocked the Blues fans on Wednesday, new owner Todd Boehly took similar action to previous Russian owner Roman Abramovich as he sacked the German tactician after a loss to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League opening game on Tuesday.
After a net spend of €300M, we can agree that the loss did not sit well with the hierarchy at Chelsea, hence, the dismissal.
Attention quickly shifts to, who would replace Tuchel at Chelsea.
On Thursday, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano gave an exclusive update, pointing to Brighton's manager Graham Potter as the next manager.
Graham Potter will be appointed as new Chelsea manager, as expected. Agreement in place, contracts now being prepared as proposal has been accepted. Here we go. ?? #CFC

According to him, the deal will be completed in the next hours.
The question is, is Graham Potter an ideal fit for Chelsea?
Potter has been excellent with his management of Brighton who currently sit at 4th on the Premier League standings. He had only lost one match winning 4 and 1 draw.
Compared to Chelsea's stat, Brighton are a better team this campaign.
Although it remains to be seen how he would cope with coaching a European team that competes in Champions League, Premier League and other domestic cups in English football.
Aside from that, big personalities like Thiago Silva, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Raheem Sterling just to mention a few, who have more trophies and medals than Brighton not to mention Potter himself, how he would manage them -- that is another very important question to be answered.
The loss to Dinamo Zagreb is shocking but it didn't really mean Chelsea might not qualify from the group but recruiting a manager after the close of the transfer window, especially someone like Graham Potter might not be a smart move for Boehly.
Some headaches for Chelsea's fans while the critics would take a dig at Boehly but the neutrals would look to see what Potter brings to Chelsea.
