Bristol City surprise West Ham United with 1-0 win in FA Cup

The Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City defeated West Ham United 1-0 in the FA Cup third Round contest.

Following the match, the West Ham United side were the favourite with their pedigree playing in the English Premier League.

But David Moyes's men were beaten to their surprise by the Bristol City that was the underdog prior to the game.

The home side took the lead early on following a breakthrough counter attack with Tommy Conway scoring in the 3rd minute to open the scoring in the match.

Despite all attempts from the visitors West Ham United to get back into the game, it was to no avail as frustration grew in the camp of the visiting side West Ham in the match.

This led to them being reduced to 10-men as Saido Benhrama was sent off in the 51st minute of the game.

With the one man deficit it finished 1-0 in favour of Bristol City as the Championship side advance to the next stage of the FA Cup competition despite all odds.
