Instagram comedian and skit-maker, Broda Shaggi has reacted to claims by a Twitter user that he is not funny and his skits are unnecessary.
AllNews reports that Broda Shaggi trended across social media platforms last week after a Twitter user identified as Irunnia said his tweets are usually too long and not funny.
Irunnia had also advised the comedian to consider venturing into acting fully, rather than skit maker.
After a long silence on the Twitter user’s opinion, the comedian whose real name is Samuel Animashaun has now replied on a lighter note, claiming that he has been depressed.
He tweeted “Abeg I no too sabi use twitter o, one guy say I no funny some days ago, I don dey depressed for days now. Wetin I do the guy, this small comedy hustle wey I hold say make I use chop, feed my family, you still won scatter am. Bro’s Abeg na. Love you," he tweeted.
In another news, Shaggi, in July this year, affirmed that he would rather embezzle funds for his family and not for the country.
When asked in an interview in one of his skits about what he would do in four years if he gets to become the president of Nigeria, Shaggi said;
“My life will change, that of my family will change”
When asked about the people (Nigerians and supporters) he said;
“Who be people, make supporters support themselves” I will embezzle the world, despite the fact that Nigerians lament that President Buhari rarely shows on TV for live broadcast, I will not show up at all, Nigerians will only see my throwback pictures.”
