Brymo Reveals Why Collaboration With Adekunle Gold Never Happened [Video]

Brymo Reveals Why Collaboration With Adekunle Gold Never Hap

Nigerian singer and stage performer, Brymo, has recounted the time that he almost had a music collaboration with Adekunle Gold and why the project never saw the light of day.

In an interview with popular media personality, Quincy Jonze, Brymo explained that Adekunle Gold had reached out to him for a song, but he wanted an EP (Extended Play).

According to the 36-year-old singer, Adekunle Gold might have changed his mind because he wanted just a song, not an EP.

“Sometime last year, I was supposed to have a collaboration with Adekunle Gold.

"We were on the verge of it. He called me, we spoke, and I was ready.

"I said it was gonna be an EP because I do not believe in the singles market,” Brymo said.

“Maybe Gold didn't get back to me because it was supposed to be a song.

"He proposed a song and I said no baba.”

“He made the call, I told him I am ready and willing so he should let me know when to shoot.

"But I'll only do it if there is an EP so we can make money.

Brymo

“This is how it works. If I drop one song, it's one song. Just that one song.

"People are raving about the song, they have nothing to rave about, just that one song.

"If I drop an EP of six songs or an album of 10 songs and somehow goes ‘Oh my God!

"This Brymo's new single is hot’, there are seven other songs to follow.

"That means more money for the collaborators.”

Brymo further added that he can work with any other mainstream artiste, not just Adekunle Gold.

He mentioned that he has a collaboration album on the way, although he didn't give a specific time when because it's supposed to be a surprise.

“The point is, I'll do anything with anybody.

"In fact, the collaboration I'm bringing out is supposed to come up in August, or September or October, November or December,” Brymo said.

“I'm not supposed to tell you, it's a surprise project.

"It's as good as making music with any other mainstream.”
