Buhari Arrives Damaturu, Commissions International Cargo Air

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital on a day work visit.

The president departed on Monday evening for Damaturu where he would commission various projects.

On arrival, the president commissioned the Yobe International Cargo Airport, Damaturu. 

The Airport which is named after the President is now to be known as Muhammadu Buhari International Cargo Airport, Damaturu.

The airport is one of the legacy projects of the governor Mai Mala Buni-led administration lined up for commissioning today by the president. 

The president would be commissioning other projects in the areas of Security, Commerce, Health, Transport, and Education among others.

Other projects to be commissioned include Maternity and Child Health Care Complex at Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, Mega School at New Bra Bra Housing Estate, and Modern Market all in Damaturu.

The President is also expected to commission 2,350 Housing Units built across the State, a Police Administrative block as well a well-equipped Police Hospital also in Damaturu.

Meanwhile, sources revealed that the president is expected to spend the night in Damaturu contrary to the planned one-day visit.
